Workplaces are changing. It is estimated that, in 20 years’ time, 90% of all jobs will require people to work with digital technologies. Already, 72% of large firms struggle to recruit workers with digital skills.
To live, learn and work in a digital society, your students need to develop the digital skills that employers want now, as well as the confidence and deeper-seated capabilities that will enable them to progress in their careers and adapt to emerging technologies.
Since 2008 we have been working with organisations in HE, FE and skills on developing the digital capabilities of staff and students. Our projects have supported practitioners to engage with technology and embrace it, using it to teach, assess and support students in more engaging and effective ways.
Now we’ve built on that work to develop our building digital capabilities service, providing proven tools and resources that will enable students and staff in teaching, library and other functions right across the organisation to develop their competence with digital technologies and to thrive in the increasingly digital world.
