Notes

  1. It is acceptable for this to be a JANET Web Mail address, which may not be effective until the service is set up.
  2. A Domain Name is the unique identifier for your organisation on the Internet. Domain names have several parts which are words, abbreviations or other sequences of characters, separated by dots (“.”). Normally the first part is specific to your organisation and you will have some choice in its selection; later parts are usually short and are determined by your location or service provider.
Before applying for this service the domain name to be used must be already registered. To register .ac.uk and .gov.uk domains go to:
    http://www.ja.net/services/domain-name-registration.
  3. On completion of setting up the JANET Web Mail Service, we will provide you with specific information which your DNS provider will require to ensure the web mail service works with your domain name.
