Manufacturer's Response - Tandberg Content Server
This table shows the resolution and bandwidths achieved when a H.239 conference with twin windows streams was transmitted at various connection speeds:
384Kbit/s Call Rate
| Size | Network | Video | Content | Total Bandwidth |
| Medium | Broadband/ADSL | 240 x 180 | 640 x 480 | 355Kbit/s |
| Large | LAN | 352 x 264 | 800 x 600 | 355Kbit/s |
768Kbit/s Call Rate
| Size | Network | Video | Content | Total Bandwidth |
| Medium | Broadband/ADSL | 240 x 180 | 640 x 480 | 473Kbit/s |
| Large | LAN | 352 x 264 | 800 x 600 | 709Kbit/s |
2 Mbit/s Call Rate
| Size | Network | Video | Content | Total Bandwidth |
| Medium | Broadband/ADSL | 240 x 180 | 640 x 480 | 473Kbit/s |
| Large | LAN | 352 x 264 | 800 x 600 | 1.7M |
Tandberg: For these tests the video input relsoutions coming from the endpoint would have been CIF for main and SVGA for dual stream. Of course if the main resolutions was 720p in, then we would have done 768x448 for the main resolution at least for the 2mb call rate. It should be pointed out that the figures in these charts would be better if a higher resolution endpoint has been used.

Some care is required in setting up media outputs due to possible conflicts. For example, if the movie settings are set up to be large and medium then only medium can be selected for the live stream feed. Similarly if medium and audio-only are selected in movie settings then audio-only is the only option available for live stream.
Tandberg: The default in the drop down is to choose the lowest but this can easily be changed by selecting the dropdown and choosing the other setting.

Two Videos
Two-x video layout is only available within a Windows Media® stream and is displayed as a single image. Using the display button at the bottom right of the player, the user has the option to cycle through the available layouts, with the image of the next image in the cycle being selected via the layout button.
Tandberg: Two-x video is also available as a MPEG4.

Editing Function
The Content Editor screen allows the user with “owner” or “editor” status to mark in and out points within the recording to remove unwanted sections. It also allows index points to be added to assist viewers to locate sections within the recording. This feature only operates through the on-demand Windows Media® replay and not on any of the downloadable files.
Tandberg: Editing is available for anything that plays back in the content viewer which could also be MPEG4 or Real Media. Only downloads aren't editable.

On further investigation of the above problem it was found that the media player held the frozen image for two minutes when the H.239 content transmission ended and then went to black. In practice, this means that unless Tandberg® CODECS are being used, H239 cannot be selected for a second time during a conference.
