Manufacturer's Response - Polycom iPower 9800
When a single VCR is connected to the CODEC and the VCR is selected to replay a tape to the remote site, there is no video signal provided on the VCR o/p of the CODEC. When two VCRs are connected to the CODEC one for replay and a second for recording, the Polycom Admin Tools menu can select a video signal to be present on the VCR output of the CODEC at all times.
Response: Polycom will investigate the above comment.
Shortcut links to documents may be placed on the Content Menu for ease of use during a conference using the Add/Remove Documents icon, it was noted that the default drive on this menu is the A drive, which does not exist on the iPower 9800.
Response: Polycom will raise this as a fault
The iPower 9800 system includes only two serial control ports as standard.
Response: "You can also use the 2 USB ports as well if required, with the addition of a USB to Serial Adapter".
When the unit is set to auto answer there is no ringing indication on receipt of an incoming call. The microphone can be set to mute on answer however to protect the privacy of meeting participants at the start of a conference.
Response: Polycom will raise this as a fault.
Following the restoration of Line 2 follow on calls exhibited no video in either direction. The CODECs had to be rebooted to return to correct operation.
Response: Polycom will raise this as a fault.
