Content Providers

content providers

The JANET(UK) Community can access a number of Content Providers (CPs), like the National Maritime Museum, who provide educational content via the JANET Videoconferencing Service.

Content Providers are allowed to access the central facilities of the JVCS in return for an annual service charge for each registered endpoint/venue. They may use the facilities for the sole purpose of the delivery of educational content to UK universities, research establishments, colleges and schools. Before being able to register to use JVCS, JANET(UK) must receive a letter or email from a Local Authority, Grid for Learning, Becta, LTS or C2KNI recommending an organisation as a Content Provider.

Organisations who do not have program to provide a educational content via videoconference may need to fill in a Content Providers Reference Form to assist them in gaining a reference.

For more information on Content Providers using JVCS, please see the JANET Access to the JVCS by Content Providers policy.
