Quality Assurance (QA) Testing

For schools, there is a Quality Assurance Assessment test which is slightly different the a regular QA test. Once a school registers on the Booking Service, it is recommended (not manditory) that they try this QAA to help fix any outstanding issues before starting to videoconference. Schools do not have to do a QAA test once every six months.
For organisations who are not schools, there is a mandatory QA test which must be carried out after a venue is registered on the Booking Service but before they can begin videoconferencing. Once an organisation has passed the QA test their venue will be available to book for meetings. This test must be performed every twelve months (every six months for Welsh endpoints), for which venue administrators will receive an email reminder. If the test isn't completed on time, the venue will no longer be available to use on the Booking Service.
JVCS Check
If a user would like to test their audio and video without having to book a QA test and speak to an Operator there is JVCS Check. It is an automated testing tool where a user goes through the tests step by step themselves. If an endpoint has been moved or changes have been made to it, JVCS recommends using this tool to ensure the equipment can still provide a good quality videoconference.
A typical JVCS-Check assessment session takes just over 10 minutes to complete. Each section is introduced is by a recorded presenter who outlines a technical summary of what the sections are for.
