Access Grid Products

The following products are supported: Access Grid Toolkit, IOCOM and EVO.  All of these products offer flexible, reliable and scalable solutions for collaborative working and teaching.  Each product offers multiple high quality video feeds, enabling the user the opportunity to meet with as many other sites as they like.  With high quality audio and video, and various affordable options, all of these supported collaborative technologies offer great flexibility and choice to meet your videoconferencing needs. 

Access Grid Toolkit (AGTk): open source software.
This is available to all users to download free of charge.  AGTk offers multiple camera feeds and is scalable from a desktop to a full room system.

IOCOM (IG): commercial Access Grid product
Users on the JANET(UK) network need to purchase a one-off licence . However, all licence and service upgrades thereafter are available free of charge.  The IOCOM software (IG) is run from a web browser, which also launches the IG tool enabling access to collaboration software.

EVO: multipoint conferencing tool similar to Access Grid.  
This is available free of charge to the JANET community. The software launches from a web browser and software installation is not required.  In addition to the EVO virtual rooms, JANET(UK) has a community set up with rooms, which matches some of the virtual venues used for IOCOM and AGTk. This community is available to users on the JANET(UK) network. These bridged rooms provide some interoperability with IOCOM and AGTk.
