EVO Telephone Bridge
The EVO – Telephone Bridge is a VoIP Gateway which allows anyone with a telephone to dial into an EVO meeting. This may be helpful if users are experiencing hardware, software or networking issues and are unable to join a session by video. Alternatively, users may find this a convienent way to attend a meeting if they are away from their desk, e.g. at home.
JANET(UK) operates an 8-channel Gateway based in the UK. This means, for example, 4 telephone calls may be bridged to one meeting, 2 to another meeting and 2 to another, but never more than 8 calls overall. A message will be played to a 9th caller tries to dial into a session alerting them to the fact that the phone bridge limit has been reached.
For security reasons, participants trying to dial in will need the meeting Phone Bridge ID, and optionally the meeting’s Phone Bridge Password if the meeting has a password.
