What is EVO?
EVO is an international collaborative videoconferencing tool. It offers meeting functionality plus recordings, instant messaging, shared white board, shared files, presence information, choice of video format, ad-hoc meetings in addition to booked meetings, telephone bridging and easy firewall traversal. International collaboration is supported by time zone adjustment and the facility to tailor the working environment to support several languages including: English, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Slovak, Spanish and Swedish. The EVO infrastructure offers high reliability since it can adapt to varying network conditions and make adjustments on behalf of the user in a transparent manner.

There is a worldwide network of EVO servers two of which are in the UK and supported by the AGSC. The system automatically assigns you to an appropriate server so you do not need to make a specific selection.
What does a meeting look like in EVO?
The screen shot below shows a large scale meeting running in EVO. In this example a meeting room with a large display wall is being used to display the video feeds and shared documentation. A desktop meeting will look similar but with less display space.
