Backup Bridge Registry for AG Toolkit version 3.1:

Client v3.1 will show a list of multicast-unicast bridges available. However if this registry should fail (i.e. the ANL server is not available), then no bridges would be shown. As a backup the AGSC runs a bridge registry which can be added within the v3.1 client as shown below.

1. Start the AG Toolkit client and go to "Tools", "Preferences".

2. On the left select "Bridging" and then click on the "Add" button on the right.

3. Add the AGSC bridge registry text "http://www.agsc.ja.net/ag3peers.txt" as shown.

4. Click on "OK" and the AGSC bridge registry is added to the "Bridge Registries" field

5. Click on "Save" to save the settings and close the preferences.

 

Backup Bridge Registry for AG Toolkit version 3.02:

The number of available AG3 multicast-unicast bridges stored within the AG3 Bridge Registry now exceeds the display capabilities of the AG3.02 client . This means that sometimes the AGSC bridge may not be selectable when choosing the bridge for a unicast connection. This does not mean there is a problem with the AGSC bridge. There are currently two solutions:

1. Use the AGSC Bridge Registry (a href="http://acgrd.web.its.manchester.ac.uk/services/changeag3reg.php) to select which set of bridges to display.

2. Close and re-open the client to retrieve the bridge registry again. When changing from multicast to unicast, it is advisable to click directly on 'AGSC' from the list of available bridges, instead of clicking on 'unicast', as we cannot guarantee that 'AGSC' will be at the top of the list, if
