We make use of a training room and videoconferencing suite based within the University of Edinburgh Computing Centre.This facility provides a flexible space particularly suited to our videoconferencing courses.

On arrival you will need to report to the main reception of the James Clerk Maxwell Building.The James Clerk Maxwell Building can be found by accessing the site via gate 4 off Mayfield Road. Once through the gate go to the top of the road to a large brown loading bay door. To the left of the loading bay is the east entrance of the James Clerk Maxwell Building (Computing Services).
We will be using room 2009B, follow the signs to 'videoconferencing'.

Travelling By Car

Although the University of Edinburgh is accessible by car there is no car parking available on site. Parking is available in residential streets around the campus (as shown on this map). Visitors using the A1 can approach the University following the City Bypass (A720), turn off at the A701 junction until it becomes Mayfield Road (The Science and Engineering Faculty).

 

Travelling By Train

Most trains arrive at Waverley Station in the centre of the city. Walking from Waverley to the central University areas takes approximately 20 minutes. A taxi from the station to the university will cost around £8. Please note: the arrival directions above will need to be given to the taxi driver, if arriving in a taxi.

 

Travelling By Bus

Several local buses provide services around the city. Buses from the station to the University can be caught Princes Street or St Andrew's Bus station.

 

Travelling By Plane

Edinburgh International Airport has regular services to many UK and international destinations. There is a dedicated bus service that runs from the airport to Waverley Bridge (next to the station); the journey usually takes 25 minutes and costs £3 for a single and £5 for a return. A taxi from the airport to the university will cost around £18, (you will need give the taxi driver the directions above).
