Travelling By Car

Once in Bristol you will need to locate one of the car parks to park in as Armada house doesn’t have its own carpark. There are 16 Pay & Display car parks within a mile radius of the venue. The Queen Charlotte Street and Princess Street are the nearest, The Grove and Canon’s Marsh are approximately 5 minutes walk. There are also Park & Ride facilities located at Long Ashton, Brislington and the Portway (Avonmouth).

 

Travelling By Train

Bristol Temple Meads train station is only a short distance away. With connections from most of the UK. Two trains an hour run between London Paddington, Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads usually stopping at Chippenham and Bath Spa stations. Trains run from Cardiff to Bristol every 30 minutes. Trains from Exeter and Plymouth to Bristol run every hour.


Walking from Temple Meads Station:
On leaving the station walk past the taxi rank to your left and past the Commonwealth & Empire Museum on your right. When you reach the road turn right onto Temple Gate and walk 50 m to the pedestrian crossing. Cross the roundabout via the pedestrian crossing. Make your way down Victoria Street, crossing Bristol Bridge. Turn to your left down Baldwin Street, walk past Queen Charlotte Street on your left. Take the next left which is a cobbled pedestrian street, this is Telephone Avenue. Walk up Telephone Avenue and Armada House is the last building on the right before the corner.

 

Travelling By Bus

There are many bus routes into Bristol. You can use any bus that stops in the City Centre or Baldwin Street. There are also several Park and Ride facilities in the City.

 

Travelling By Plane

Bristol International is located 8 miles south of Bristol City Centre and approximatly 45 minutes from Armada house. Both a bus services and taxis run from the airport into town.
Checker Cars is a dedicated taxi service operating from the airport.  The booking desk is located within the new covered walkway which links the terminal to the pick up car park and is open 24/7.  
Buses: The Bristol International Flyer express coach service connects the Airport to Bristol Temple Meads every 15 at peak times.
