Course Overview
This course provides an introduction to the technology and the different methods of virtualisation available. Networking and Security concerns are explored in further detail, as critical elements to deployment. The second part of the course covers the application of Cloud Computing in more detail. The course offers many opportunities for the delegates to discuss the technology with their peers with two hands on virtualisation activities.

Who should attend?
This course will be of interest to staff working at Janet connected organisations with responsibility for infrastructure: development, implementation and strategy. The course is of an intermediate technical level; some technical concepts will be discussed, however it is not at a technical expert level.
Prerequisites
The course assumes a very basic level of virtualisation experience, therefore prospective delegates who are completely new to the topic are recommended to have attended the Virtualisation Fundamentals Course. Staff interested in this course but who do not have a good understanding of networking technology may wish to attend our ‘Basic Networking’ course prior to registering for this course.
Timetable/On the Day
The course timetable will be adjusted on the day to allow discussion of areas of particular interest to the audience. The course will therefore run from 10am to 4.30pm . Registration will take place from 09:30 – 10:00am.
All delegates will receive a workbook specifically written for the course.
A buffet lunch and refreshments will be provided.
