Videoconferencing can provide fast and cost effective access to colleagues, peers and subject experts. However the technology involved can sometimes appear daunting. The aim of this course is to prepare you for using videoconferencing by familiarising you with the equipment and addressing the issues that you may encounter.

This course will prepare you for using videoconferencing for both teaching and administrative purposes. It will provide practical advice on what to expect and how to prepare.
Delegates tasked with supporting videoconferencing in their organisation will find it a useful introduction to the area and perhaps more importantly an insight into how room design and technical set up can impact on their users experience.

Who should attend?

This course will be of benefit to anyone wishing to make use of videoconferencing. This includes administration, teaching and technical staff. Although the course is not technical it will explain some of the technical aspects in simple terms to help individuals understand how it works.

Timetable/On the Day

The course will run between 1000 and 1630. Registration will take place between 0930 and 1000. The timetable during the day will be adjusted to allow discussion of areas of particular interest to the audience.

The course includes group discussion, floorplan activities, demonstrations and a number of live videoconferences. All delegates will receive a full colour workbook specifically writtenfor this course.

A buffet lunch and refreshments will also be provided.
