A number of enquiries for the service were received during the quarter, mainly on the topics of options for inter-site connections for organisations with multiple sites, high bandwidth local links, and networking strategy following college mergers.

5.3 Video Technology Advisory Service (VTAS) (SLA J5.3) [more information]

The service has received a number of enquiries this quarter which include queries on getting started with videoconferencing, equipment advice, technical difficulties and how to sign up to the JANET Videoconferencing Recording Service.

A VTAS News web page has been created to give users quick access to important latest information. Current stories include Videoconferencing Endpoint Interoperability with JVCS.

5.5 Wireless Technology Advisory Service (WTAS) (SLA J5.5) [more information]

An enquiry was received on the subject of Vista Home problems with DHCP. Production of product evaluation and technology papers is being considered.
