JANET Service Desk

The JANET Service Desk help desk is staffed from 08:00–18:00 Monday to Friday and is covered by an answering machine outside these hours. All enquiries are dealt with in accordance with JANET(UK)’s Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Contact the JANET Service Desk (normally by e-mail) if:

  • you want to register to use the JANET Mailer Shield Service
  • you want to change the way you use the service
  • you want to change the contact details JANET(UK) has for your organisation
  • you have comments, questions or complaints about the way the service works, the level of service you are getting, or the documentation for the service
  • you are not receiving any mail
  • you are receiving a flood of mail
  • you have some emergency and you think you may need to pass your outbound mail through the JANET relay for some period
  • your outbound mail is supposed to be going through the JANET relay but seems not to be moving
  • mail delivery is taking an unusually long time (the ‘echo’ service may help you spot this).

It is helpful to include the abbreviation ‘JMS service’ in the Subject: of any e-mail.
