Structured Cabling choices for the Next Generation, Glynn Phillips, Nexans

The presentation will review what is needed both for today and for the future in a good structured cabling design for building and campus. In day to day business Nexans engineers visit sites in support of end users and installation partners, so the real world and practical realities of ageing infrastructures will be addressed and site examples discussed.  In particular we will look at specification and limitations on fibre types, copper considerations for POE+ and innovative developments in microfibre constructions. Supporting information on matters addressed at the presentation will be available from the Nexans stand 41 in the exhibition area.
