LMN and JANET(UK) have agreed on 1 November 2010 as the target date for the transition of operations. After the transition has been completed, LMN and JANET(UK) will continue to work together to transfer a number of LMN’s additional services to JANET(UK) management, such as the off-site data storage service, the InTechnology Backup service and the Message Labs e-mail filtering service.
It is clear from the planning work that these are valued by the LMN community and may well attract wider interest. In the meantime LMN will continue to maintain the relevant contracts so that those using the services will not suffer disruption to their existing individual arrangements.
