New London network Infrastructure
JANET(UK) is pleased to announce the successful completion of its project to migrate customers from LMN to the new JANET London infrastructure, which was completed on schedule. JANET (UK) would like to acknowledge the support and co-operation of all the organisations that participated in the process.
Following the migration, the remaining LMN 10Gbit/s core links will be moved to the new JANET London IP routers, creating a network core operating at 20Gbit/s. Similarly, the two 20 Gbit/s links connecting LMN to the JANET backbone will be moved over to the new IP routers, forming two resilient connections to the JANET backbone, each operating at 40Gbit/s.
JANET will hold a Customer Networking event on the 11th August 2011 at the Royal Geographical Society in South Kensington where JANET customers in ondon will have the opportunity to meet key members of the JANET team to discuss the strategy of future of networking in London.
Details of the agenda and how to register will be available soon.
