Connectivity: the current JANET backbone has delivered £60 million in savings since its launch 5 years ago.

Email abuse prevention: JANET subscribes centrally to black- and whitelists on behalf of the entire community, leading to savings of £4.6 million per annum.

Server certificates: basic certificates offered by the JANET Certificate Service to secure online transactions are procured at a favourable rate which allows this to be offered as part of a JANET connection, saving customers over £0.75 million per annum.
