Launched in November 2009, the new JANET Certificate service has now registered over 1000 certificates, to find out more: CLICK HERE New member joins Research Support Unit We are pleased to announce that in January 2010 Warren Matthews joined JANET(UK) as a Research Support Coordinator. Before joining Whilst at JANET he will be involved in supporting researchers using JANET, and identify requirements for the next upgrade of the JANET network. He will also be investigating Control Plane technology and developing a testbed for dynamic network allocation. OpportunitiesNetworkshop - 10 minutes of fame! Can you get your point across in 10 minutes with a quick snappy presentation? If the answer is yes then why not take part in a new ‘quick-fire’ session at JANET(UK)s annual event, Networkshop. The session will involve up to 7 participants with a 10 minute slot each. This open floor session gives participants the opportunity to give a quick concise presentation to share any hints, tips and/or secrets they may have on ANY aspect of network management. JANET(UK), Warren worked at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta where he helped support the campus network and the Southern Crossroads gigapop (which provides connectivity to Internet2 and NLR for most of the universities in the south-eastern United States).
