The group will look at defining best practice guidance for web-based portal services for discovery in federated access management for those involved in deployment solutions as part of their participation in the UK Access Management Federation for Education and Research.
For further information on the project, please take a look at the proposal document. Deliverables from the working group will be presented on this page in due course.

UK federation Roadmap
Federated access management technologies are evolving rapidly. To ensure that we continue to enhance the functionality of the UK federation, JANET(UK) have produced a roadmap, highlighting the principal areas of development that we intend to focus on.
The roadmap (available here in pdf format) has been produced in collaboration with JISC, Becta, experts and users from the education and research communities and experts in the area of Federated access management, including vendors providing federation-related products and services.
*Now available: Selecting, Deploying and Operating Federated Access Management*
This document, which should be helpful to organisations planning to join the federation, is now available from the TERENA website
