802.1X Special Interest Group

Introduction

802.1X special interest group objectives are to promote the secure use of authenticated access to campus networking, by monitoring developments in DOT1X supplicants and ensuring the supplicant is robust and provides the functional capabilities to meet the needs of the community.

Major Activities of the Group will include:

  • Promote best approach to use of the supplicant
  • Identify key issues for communication
  • Prioritising of key issues identified
  • Direction of development activity’s
  • Track current and emerging standards through ongoing monitoring of relevant standards bodies
