I enjoyed it because you get to know new people.

I liked it because you got to see other schools and what they are like.

I liked it because you get to learn a bit more about nocturnal animals.

I liked it so much because you could ask questions.  I hope we can do it again soon.

I loved it because you can learn a lot whilst seeing other schools.

It was interesting because I learnt so much.

It was funny because she said funny words.

Videoconferencing is a great way to meet people in other schools.

Videoconferencing is great because you learn things you didn't already know.

Videoconferencing is important because it helps us to learn more things.

Feedback from the teachers and organisers

"It's excellent having people with such expertise teach the class without physically being here."

"Very informative and engaging, covering a section very difficult to teach children."

"We packed in about 120 children into my classroom in three sessions during the event and they all went away full of ideas and enthusiasm.  A number returned to school today with research which they'd carried out unsolicited at home on various themes covered during the day."

"Today, in assembly, the children were still buzzing from the Night and Day videoconference and year 1 and 2 were excitedly re-enacting a dance they were taught by Circadian Sam of the Natural History Museum, to show how bees move around."

"Year 4 and 5 visited the space centre in Leicester and the Observatory in Australia.  They have been sharing their new knowledge with their teachers about the sun and the universe. They described the experienece as 'amazing' and being taught by someone as far away as Australia, was 'so cool!' "

"It's nice for the students to realise that it's not just them learning, there are students all over the world doing the same – videoconferencing takes students to places they wouldn't normally get chance to visit and it's nice to be taught by different people…..and of course it's a cost effective way of bringing these experts to the classroom!"

"The videoconference was a totally 'unique' experience for the students.  To be taught such amazing things by a man on the other side of the world was amazing – the students are used to the fact you can call someone from so far away, but to see and interact with them is totally 'unique' – they could even ask questions!  Now we know how easy it is, we now plan to do more videoconfernces and incorporate them into our lesson plans."

Class teacher: Videoconferencing is a great way for the children to access experts in a variety of fields.  They thoroughly enjoyed the video conference, Circadian Sam was fantastic and kept the children amused, whilst they learned so many interesting facts.  It was a great follow up to our recent topic on nocturnal animals.  Thank you.

As you can see the children and adults really enjoyed this session and it was a treat to hear the shrieks and laughter coming from the classroom!

Thank you for all the schools that provided feedback and photos.
