Market Research to Determine the Requirement for Mobile Wireless Broadband Services via JANET

JANET(UK) is in the process of reviewing the requirement for mobile data access in the JANET community. Central to this review is gaining an understanding of user needs both at the organisational and individual level. The Statement of Requirements specifies JANET(UK)’s requirement for professional market research into existing and future mobile broadband usage in an educational context.

Each interested supplier is required to register its intention to submit a response to this Statement of Requirements via the JANET(UK) e-Tendering Opportunities Portal at:

https://tenders.ja.net.

Before registering interest against a particular contract, your company must register with the portal to gain access to the system. Once this registration is accepted by JANET(UK), credentials will be issued, and should be used for all future portal transactions. When registering, it is recommended that a generic mailbox (such as sales@supplier) is set up, so that information from the system can be sent to more than one representative at your company.

Note that JANET(UK) will reject a supplier’s registration if there is already an existing registration on the portal for that supplier, to avoid duplication.

Remember also that the portal registration process is not tied to this particular procurement – once you receive a username and password to the portal, you will still need to log in and register your interest in this specific contract.

A detailed Supplier User Guide on how to use the JANET(UK) portal can be downloaded from the portal itself, or from or the JANET website at:
