JANET(UK) wishes to procure carrier-class DWDM transmission equipment and an associated NMS for the JANET backbone network. The equipment must be capable of supporting flexible, cost-effective, transparent, point-to-point transport of various client signals at rates up to and including 100Gbit/s with an upgrade capability path to support signal rates higher than 100Gbit/s (e.g. 400Gbit/s) in the future.

In addition to the supply of DWDM transmission equipment, JANET(UK) is seeking the following:

  • Network design, delivery, installation, initial commissioning, technical training and documentation;
  • specialist technical and operational support;
  • maintenance, including technical support, field investigation and problem resolution, spares management and storage.
