Schools Services: Videoconferencing Partners
VC Partners is a template for school videoconference partnering projects managed by Local Authorities, Regional Grids for Learning or any representative of a group of schools.
JANET(UK) provides the partnering application form and documentation to regions to enable them to easily run their own VC partnering project. JANET(UK) may also be able to facilitate introductions between contacts in the UK and abroad. There are many different formats for activities over videoconference. Here are some simple ideas to get new partnerships off to a good start.
With every activity it is important that both teachers/coordinators have discussed in advance what will happen and have preferably met by videoconference to run through the event a few days before. |

The JANET Videoconference Service (JVCS) can assist registered UK schools with videoconfernces, nationally or internationally. Local Authorities and Regional Grids for Learning may also be able to advise on registering with JVCS. There is no charge for state-funded UK schools.
