Through our education work, we use the Holocaust and other genocides to explore the dangers of extremism, divided communities and racism. Our programmes are designed to tackle discrimination, social isolation and persecution and aim to challenge present attitudes and values.

Videoconference with a Holocaust Survivor or an Education Personnel. Listen to the testimony of a Survivor,  dialogue with survivors  about the relevance of the Holocaust in our society today.

A conference normally includes an introduction to the centre by a member of the teaching staff and accompanied by Power Point images. The survivor then gives their testimony, again accompanied by Power Point images. This is followed by a questions and answers session where the students are encouraged to put their questions directly to the Survivor. Optionally, the session may include contemporary issues and films. Link ups can be arranged with the Centre's branch in Rwanda.

The Centre also supports trips to Rwanda and Bosnia via the Aegis Students programmes of www.DiscoverRwanda.org and www.discoverbosnia.org

Videoconferences with Survivors via the Holocaust Centre is supported by History Speaks, an award-winning Holocaust Survivors Online Archive. Further details are available on The Holocaust Centre's website www.holocaustcentre.net.
